E14 means flow meter failure or inadequate fill—the reed-switch flow sensor at the inlet did not register expected pulses while the inlet valve was open. Cycles may stop before wash begins or mid-fill with E14.
How E14 is detected
Bosch dishwasher models lock the door or lid before energizing fill, heat, or high-speed spin. E14 means the latch switch never sent a "locked" signal to the main control, or the lock motor did not complete its travel.
