D90 means Flow Sense measured about 90% blockage in the exhaust path. At this level the heating element may cycle off early to prevent overheating, leaving clothes damp after extended runs.

- Transition duct longer than 8 feet combined with sharp bends
- Blower housing lint cake on models rarely cleaned behind the drum
