D90 means Flow Sense measured about 90% blockage in the exhaust path. At this level the heating element may cycle off early to prevent overheating, leaving clothes damp after extended runs.
How D90 is detected
When D90 appears on a LG dryer, the control board has confirmed that water did not leave the machine within the programmed drain window.
